Welcome to the Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP)

The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) is the sub-regional economic partnership (SREP) covering a 25-mile radius around Cambridge. The area includes Huntingdon, Wisbech, Ely, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Royston and Stansted.

With 750,000 people, 27,500 businesses and an annual economy worth over £12 billion, it is home to one of the world’s leading technology clusters and Europe’s top ranking university.

The GCP brings together the public, business and community sectors. Our shared vision is to realise the potential of Greater Cambridge as a world-class economic area. Through the delivery of key projects with our partners, we are working to create a balanced framework for structural, economic, social, environmental and cultural development.

Signup for faster broadband in Greater Cambridge

Broadband speeds country-wide are slowing down due to increased usage.

To improve local service speeds, we need to apply pressure on the service providers.

Everyone can help, and this applies to businesses and individuals; visit the Eastern REgion Broadband Uplift Scheme (EREBUS) website and enter a few simple details to improve our broadband speeds.

Help for Businesses in the Economic Downturn

The Greater Cambridge area is not immune from the international and national economic downturn although the impacts have been variable across businesses and sectors.

The GCP has developed a quarterly report to help respond to the recession and prepare for the upturn.
